Dominic Jones

Dominic is an arts administrator with credits in musical theatre, corporate events and orchestral performance. He was the production intern with Michael Cassel Group on the Australian premier of Hamilton.
Through his work at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Dominic has assisted in the production of works such as the 2020 Sidney Myer Free Concerts and the regular Jams for Juniors program in both 2019 and 2020.
His Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) credits include Stage Manager for The Cripple of Inishmaan (2020), Assistant Production Manager for multiple devised theatre works, Deputy Stage Manager for Flora the Red Menace (2019), Orchestra Manager for On the Town (2019), and Stage Manager for Gravitate (2019).

Max Woods

Max is a Melbourne-based stage and production manager who has recently graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Max has undertaken several roles at the VCA, including Stage Manager for pool (no water) (directed by Leticia Cáceres), Assistant Production Manager for Earthquakes in London (directed by Sarah Goodes), and Stage Manager for Hedda GablerGablerGabler (directed by Mary Angley). Max has worked extensively in Melbourne’s independent theatre sector, stage managing Patrick White Award winning playwright Kim Ho’s The Great Australian Play (directed by Saro Lusty-Cavallari; produced by Montague Basement) and has worked multiple times with award-winning collective Stage Mom. In 2020, Max co-founded independent company Frenetic Theatre alongside fellow stage manager and frequent collaborator Brooke Simmonds.

Merissa Tang

Merissa is a technical theatre practitioner from Singapore, with a myriad of skills ranging from Stage/Production Management to Lighting/Projection systems and design. Her works include: Citizen X (Singapore) by The Finger Players (2021), #THEATRE (Singapore) by IN:DEX (2021), SURGE (Melbourne) by Anouk Van Dijk (2020), NAK DARA (Singapore) by P7:1SMA (2020), Shared Fictions (Melbourne) by Jo Lloyd (2019), AMOK>>>>HALT (Vietnam) by VCA/USM (2019), and Guilty Landscapes (Germany) by Singapore International Festival of Arts (2017).

Recipient of the National Arts Council (NAC) Scholarship (Singapore) in 2018, Merissa recently graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Melbourne. She continuously expands her theatrical knowledge in hopes of becoming a well-rounded production/technical manager.

Emily Carter

Emily has been involved in the performing arts since a young age, beginning onstage then moving into stage management in 2012. She holds a Diploma in Music Performance (Voice) from JMC Academy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) in stage management from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). At the VCA, Emily was Deputy Stage Manager on The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2020), Orchestra Manager for Our House (2020), staged managed Ghostlight (2020) and Measure for Measure (2019), and was Assistant Stage Manager on Peter Pan (2018). Professionally, her stage management experience includes Hamlet for Australian Shakespeare Company (2019 - 2020), Mental as Anything (2019), Zoo Twilights, Daryl Braithwaite and Ross Wilson (2019), and The Models (2018-2019).

Tom O'Sullivan

Tom O’Sullivan is a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) course specialising in stage and costume management at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). His VCA credits include Production Stage Manager on The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2020) , Costume Manager on Earthquakes in London (2021), Assistant Stage Manager on Flora the Red Menace (2019), Swim Between the Flags (2019) and Assistant Costume Manager on August: Osage County (2018). Tom has design experience having costume designed UMMTA’s Legally Blonde (2019) and lighting designed Parade (2019). Tom has worked on the Helpmann Awards (2019), White Night Melbourne (2019) and Port Fairy Folk Festival (2018/19). Tom is interested in the performing arts, film and television, and events industries.

Amelia Botter

Amelia has been heavily involved in the arts from a young age. Her passion developed from dancing, singing, playing instruments and acting. Throughout her time at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Amelia has worked in different management roles across multiple streams. Her credits at the VCA include Stage Manager on Earthquakes in London (2021), Stage Manager on NUTI and WOW (2020), Stage Manager on Snore (2019), Deputy Stage Manager on MTAFU (2019), Assistant Stage Manager on Body (2019), Fefu and Her Friends (2018) and A Chorus Line (2018). She completed an internship on AsiaTOPA with Arts Centre Melbourne. Amelia is looking forward to being involved in theatre and events after leaving the VCA.

Brooke Simmonds

Brooke is a Stage Manager who recently graduated the Victorian College of the Arts with a BFA in (Design & Production). At the VCA Brooke has worked as both a Stage Manager and Sound Technician on multiple productions, including Stage Manager for The World That Was‚ Deputy Stage Manager for Wunderschön Stark, Audio Programmer and Operator for Our House and F+++ing A‚ as well as Assistant Stage Manager for Mad Forest‚ and The Skin of Our Teeth. Externally her credits include Stage Manager for The Hitmen (Bakers Dozen Theatre Company), Grand Gesture (The People) and Jofus and The Whale (Fish and Twiner Bait Shop), as well as Assistant Stage Manager for both The Great Australian Play (Montague Basement Theatre Company) and Punk Rock (Patalog Theatre Company). She has also recently completed an internship with MTC on Torch the Place. Brooke is currently the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Frenetic Theatre.

Darcy Wischer

Darcy Wischer is a stage manager with professional qualifications from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and skilled experience working in music theatre, theatre, and contemporary dance. Darcy’s credits as a Stage Manager whilst at the VCA include King John (directed by Helen Trenos, 2019), Surge (choreographed by Anouk van Dijk, 2020), and Return to Normal (choreographed by Antony Hamilton, 2020). Darcy worked as the Deputy Stage Manager on Shared Fictions (choreographed by Jo Lloyd, 2019) and Our House (directed by Tyran Parke, 2020). Darcy completed an internship on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and is the proud recipient of the Daryl Wilkinson Encouragement Award 2020

Eden Cotter-Longworth

Eden Cotter-Longworth graduated from the Victorian College of Arts (VCA) in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) specialising in stage management. Her academic credits at the VCA include Our House (Production Stage Manager), Origami (Production Stage Manager), Mirror Mirror (Stage Manager), and Into the Woods (Assistant Stage Manager). Her other management credits include Footloose and Chicago for Ormond Theatre, Moby Dick for Two Productions and Lysistrata and The Crucible for The Court Theatre. Eden is currently employed as the Executive Assistant at Melbourne Fringe to Creative Director & CEO Simon Abrahams and is looking forward to continuing to grow and expand her arts administration skills within this role.

Emma Vize

Emma is a design and production graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), University of Melbourne. Emma specialises in Stage and Production Management and is currently an Assistant Stage Manager with HVK Productions’ touring children’s show, Bluey’s Big Play. Her interest in theatre started at a young age, initially drawn towards acting. While studying overseas, this interest turned into a passion for the arts, and she
developed an interest in production.
Whilst studying, Emma has been a part of productions such as On the Town, F++king A, Punk Rock, The Cabin and more. She is looking to expand her knowledge and skills within production, in musical theatre and theatre. Emma has been enjoying touring Australia with Bluey’s Big Play and looks forward to continuing touring throughout her career.

Holly Anderson

Holly is a stage manager and production manager with a passion for creating healthy collaborative work environments. Whilst at Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), they have worked across the costume and stage management departments. Their VCA credits include Swim Between the Flags (devised by Theatre Company 2019), The Skin of Our Teeth (2018, directed by Dean Bryant), The Drowsy Chaperone (2017, directed by Alister Smith), and Stage Manager for the original Australian work The Will to Be (directed by Mark Salvestro) for the 2019 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Holly is a passionate creator with a love for new works and independent theatre.

Holly Is currently on their first national tour with the HVK Production Bluey's Big Play (2020/2021, directed by Rosemary Myers) in the role of ASM.

Oliver Pool

Oliver Pool specialises in technical lighting and strives to combine cutting edge lighting technology with technical methodologies to create exceptional lighting solutions for artists and performers. Oliver has worked on a range of shows while attending the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) with show design credits including Wunderschön Stark choreographed by Michelle Heaven, and MTAFU choreographed by Prue Lang. His technical credits include Head Electrician and Programmer roles on various shows at the VCA. Oliver continues his passion for performance lighting outside of the VCA, pursuing work opportunities with multiple Australian production companies and has a key interest in specialising in live music events.

Samantha Hastings

Samantha is a Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) 2020 Graduate. Sam found her passion for Design and Production through her experience of theatre, visual arts and design throughout high school. During her time at the VCA, Sam has furthered her love for costume design tailoring her learning to focus on this area of theatrical design. Sam's specialities include costume design, costume management and basic construction. She is described by her peers and lecturers as well organised, detail orientated and an exceptional collaborative worker.

Whilst studying at the VCA, Sam’s credits include Set and Costume Design Assistant and Costume Manager for Flora the Red Menace (2019), Costume Designer for Anouk van Dijk’s contemporary dance piece Surge (2020) and Costume Designer for the musical Our House directed by Tyran Parke.

Alfonso Coronel

Alfonso is an emerging production designer based in Australia. He has a Master's Degree in Production Design for Screen from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Screen) Degree from Flinders University. Alfonso blended his passion for story telling with his love for visual art. His shift into design enabled him to refine his creative process, initiating a more in depth approach to story telling. He loves character driven films and films that put a lens on interpersonal relationships and the human condition. During his time at VCA; He was a set design intern for the upcoming Netflix show Click Bait, and an art department intern on the upcoming ABC Series, The Newsreader. Alfonso also works in Fashion; he was previously a Creative Producer for Manila based fashion brand, 'Carl Jan Cruz'‚ for two collections in Paris during Paris Fashion Week in 2017 and 2018.

Danillo Alves Arantes

Danillo Arantes is a production designer and creative director with work and study experiences in Brazil, Canada and Australia. Danillo started his career in 2014 and has since worked in creative agencies, production companies and within the art department on feature films and television series. He found in production design the perfect combination between his passions: spatial design, storytelling and visual communication. Danillo also holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Brasília, with one year in the Bachelor of Environmental Design of the Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto.

Eshwar Rajeev Potnis

Eshwar is a designer from India, currently studying Production Design at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). He aims to incorporate empathy, aesthetics and functionality in his designs while bringing a sense of authenticity to his work. He designed a short film called No Man's Land which will be released by mid-2021. Throughout his studies at the VCA, he has worked on several short films, including The Carrot Man (2019), The Idyll(2019) and Mira (2019), assisting in making props, set dressings and standby props. His goal in the future is to be able to tell good stories that help in bringing a positive change in society.

Ginny Salmon

Ginny is an all-around creative and aspiring production designer. After first completing a double Bachelor degree in visual art and film and screen studies, she has graduated with a Master of Production Design for Screen at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2019. Her credits to date include Solace (2019) and ...And Behold! (2019) as a props master and set buyer/dresser respectively.

Lorena Araya Gonzalez

Before studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Lorena completed a Master of Architecture in Melbourne and Switzerland, working locally and internationally as a designer. Her interest in screen design stems from a desire to explore interconnections between architecture and film. Inspired by stories that question space, identity and memory, she aspires to enhance the visual experience through design. As an emerging production designer, Lorena has worked on several student film productions at the VCA. With a keen interest in set dressing and set design, she looks forward to becoming an integral member of art departments in the future.

Tom Herbert

Tom is an emerging designer with a deep passion for building imaginative worlds on screen and a commitment to sustainable design. He holds a Bachelor of Film and Screen Media Production from Griffith University, and will be graduating with a Master of Production Design for Screen from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). During his time at the VCA, Tom has garnered many useful and practical skills, including prop and model making, set dressing/buying and scenic art. He has worked on major feature films (The Whistleblower - 2019, Black Site - 2021) and has extensive experience working on short films.

Wei Guo

Wei is a production designer based in Melbourne, Australia. He is a graduate of Victorian College of the Arts with a Master of Production Design for Screen, and a previous graduate of Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours) from University of New South Wales.

Wei considers great production design creates mood and evokes strong emotions for the audience in support of the storytelling. Whilst at the Victorian College of the Arts Wei's credits include production designer for All We Have Is Time and The Underpass, set dresser for Something Has Died In the Forest, and prop master for Rebirth.
